Welcome to Kantr, a software-as-a-service operated by Indie Technology Limited ("we," "us," "our"). By subscribing to and using our services available on www.kantrsoftware.com (the "Website") and app.kantrsoftware.com (the "App"), you agree to the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use"). Please read these Terms of Use carefully before subscribing to or using our services.
1. Subscription and Payment Terms
1.1 Pricing Tiers
Kantr offers multiple subscription tiers, each with a different monthly fee and lead limit. The lead limit determines how many qualified leads you can access with full contact information each month. Details on pricing and lead limits can be found on the Pricing Page.
Lead limits and pricing are subject to change. You will be notified in advance of any such changes.
1.2 Lead Limits and Contact Information
Each subscription tier includes a maximum number of leads per month. Leads that exceed your tier's limit will have their contact information concealed. You will be able to see that a lead exists and basic information about it, but contact details (such as name, email, and phone number) will remain hidden until you upgrade to a higher tier. Once you upgrade, you will gain access to the contact information for any leads that were previously concealed within your new tier's limit.
1.3 Upgrading Your Plan
If you upgrade to a higher tier:
- The upgrade takes effect immediately
- You will be billed for the difference (prorated) straight away
- You will gain immediate access to the higher lead limit and any previously concealed contact information within that limit
1.4 Downgrading Your Plan
If you downgrade to a lower tier:
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will continue to have access to your current tier's features until the end of the month
- From the start of your next billing cycle, you will be charged the lower tier's price and your lead limit will be reduced accordingly
1.5 Monthly Rolling Subscription
All services provided by Kantr are based on a monthly rolling subscription, which automatically renews on the same date each month unless cancelled by either party.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the application and access to the platform as well as chatbot functionality will be terminated at the end of your current billing period.
The subscription fee will be billed via Stripe on a monthly basis.
1.6 Billing
All payments are due at the start of each billing cycle and will be automatically collected via a Stripe subscription.
Failure to pay the subscription fee may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Kantr service.
1.7 Definition of a Lead
A "Lead" is defined as a visitor to your website who provides their contact details (such as name, email address, or phone number) through the Kantr chatbot or associated forms.
Kantr does not guarantee the quality, intent, or commercial value of any Lead, and makes no representation that any Lead will result in a sale, booking, or revenue.
2. Cancellation and Termination
2.1 Cancellation by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the application. Upon cancellation by you within the platform:
- Access to the platform as well as chatbot functionality will be terminated at the end of your current billing period
2.2 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription at our discretion if:
- You breach these Terms of Use
- You fail to make payment when due
- We suspect fraudulent or abusive activity
- We cease operations or discontinue the service
In the event we terminate your subscription, access to the platform as well as chatbot functionality will be terminated at the end of your current billing period.
3. Refunds
3.1 90-Day Money Back Guarantee
For new subscribers on a paid plan Kantr offers a 90-day money back guarantee. If you do not generate more leads in the first 90 days of use, we will refund you in full. This guarantee is subject to the following conditions:
- Kantr must be installed on your website for at least 30 days before you can claim the guarantee
- You must not remove or disable Kantr from your website during the guarantee period
- Your website must be publicly accessible and visible to the internet during this period
- You must have a valid, paid subscription to Kantr during the guarantee period
- You must not have experienced a measurable increase in leads compared to your baseline prior to using Kantr
To receive a refund, you must submit a claim in accordance with section 3.2 below.
3.2 Claiming a Refund
To make a claim under the 90-day money back guarantee, you must email info@kantrsoftware.com within 14 days of the end of your 90-day period.
Your claim must include:
- Your account email
- Your website URL
We will review your account and confirm whether any enquiries were generated through Kantr during the guarantee period.
If eligible, your refund will be processed within 5–10 working days.
4. Modifications to Services and Fees
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the Kantr service at any time, with or without notice.
We may change subscription fees and tier limits. You will be notified in advance of any such changes. Your continued use of the service following such changes will constitute your acceptance of the new terms.
5. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indie Technology Limited shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, or opportunities
- Loss of data or goodwill
arising out of or in connection with your use of the Kantr service.
Kantr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
7. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy & Cookie Notice or contact us.
For the purposes of data protection law, you are the data controller in respect of any personal data collected from your website visitors, and Kantr acts as a data processor.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate legal grounds to collect and process personal data and that your own privacy policy reflects your use of Kantr.

9. AI-Generated Responses
Kantr uses artificial intelligence to generate automated responses to website visitors.
While we aim to provide accurate and helpful responses, AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate in certain situations.
AI-generated responses:
- Do not constitute professional advice or recommendations
- Do not create any binding contractual obligation between you and a website visitor
- May not reflect your latest pricing, availability, or service details unless properly configured
You are responsible for reviewing, configuring, and monitoring how Kantr is used within your business, including ensuring that responses are appropriate for your services and customers.
Kantr shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or liability arising from reliance on AI-generated responses.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Kantr:
- For any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
- To mislead or deceive website visitors
- To collect personal data without appropriate consent
- In a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
11. Service Availability
Kantr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Kantr platform, including software, branding, and content, remain the property of Indie Technology Limited. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription.
13. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Kantr service complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
In particular, you agree to:
- Ensure that your website privacy policy accurately describes your use of the Kantr chatbot and the collection of personal data through it
- Ensure that your website cookie notice (where applicable) accurately reflects any cookies or similar technologies used by the Kantr chatbot
- Obtain any necessary consents from website visitors before collecting personal data or using non-essential cookies or similar technologies
- Use the Kantr service only for legitimate business purposes and in compliance with applicable laws
Kantr shall not be responsible for your compliance with legal obligations relating to your website or your processing of personal data collected through the service.
By subscribing to and using Kantr services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use or subscribe to our services.
